We have received the Fender American Telecaster Guitar with Maple fretboard Autographed by Gainesville's own Tom Petty. Tom is from Gainesville and is the recipient of 18 Grammy Award nominations and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Fantasy Event is recognized as Gainesville’s premier fundraising event of the year! It is a spectacular party—a party with a purpose. The 2009 'A Sweet Magnolia Night' Fantasy Event was another success in raising funds for local pediatric cancer research. Thank you to all who attended.
Held every spring, The STOP!® CHILDREN’S CANCER, INC. Fantasy Event transforms the Stephen C. O’Connell Center on the University of Florida campus into an incredible evening’s experience. With awesome decorations reflecting the current year’s theme, The Fantasy Event, black tie optional, features live music with dancing, Vegas style gaming, and delicious theme based food with open bar.
Partygoers have the opportunity to bid on live and silent auction items, play casino games and have a professional photograph taken. One lucky person will win the evening’s grand prize—historically a piece of jewelry valued at over $10,000! Every year there is a performance by a local dance group and appearances by special celebrity guests.
Attending the Fantasy Event allows you to participate in a fun filled evening while contributing to pediatric cancer research. Plan to join your friends at a corporate table or purchase individual tickets for an evening you won’t soon forget!
