We Raise Funds in a Variety of Ways
Four special events:
Annual Fantasy Event :: Saturday, April 16, 2011 from 7 PM to Midnight. A large party with food, dancing and auctions.
Charity Golf Classic :: Friday, October 1, 2010. Held at Haile Plantation Golf and Country Club, Gainesville, Florida
Holiday Traditions: A Musical Celebration :: Sunday, December 12, 2010. A wonderful holiday concert held at the Curtis M. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts featuring area youth choral and orchestra groups.
93.7 K COUNTRY Bear-A-Thon :: Wednesday, February 9, 2011- 6am to 7pm. An annual event where listeners call in and pledge money ($40) towards the purchase of a teddy bear for the children being treated at the Shands Cancer Clinic. These bears are given to the child upon diagnosis. Listeners helped raise over $40,000 this year!
Donations are made “In Honor of" or "In Memory of” cancer afflicted youngsters by family, friends and caring individuals.
- Civic groups select STOP! CHILDREN’S CANCER, INC. as a recipient of their own fund raising projects.
- Additional funds are contributed by individuals, corporations and foundations.
